| Mike Fahey - Best Boy Grip | Mike Fahey had a varied background before landing in the film business. After serving in the Marine Corps, he worked as a fisherman on a swordfish fishing boat, managed a restaurant, and worked in construction. Mike became intrigued with the behind-the-camera aspects of film production when his brother Jeff started making a name for himself as an actor. Mike went along with his brother to the exotic locales of Greece and the Australian outback, working in the grip department of Jeff's movies. When he returned to the States, he worked for a while in New York and then moved out to Los Angeles in 1987 for better opportunities. In 1988, he met Tony Marra, and together they formed Black Sheep Grips, one of the most respected grip companies working in Hollywood today. |
